TP-Link troubleshooting

If your cameras are not working the first thing you should check is your broadband to make sure it is fully working. If your broadband is working but your cameras are down you should check the TP-link that is connected to your router. If the TP-link is not showing three green LEDs then the TP-link is not connected correctly and this could be why your cameras are not working.

The following steps are troubleshooting to get your TP-links back up and running:

1. Check the TP-link is connected to your router via ethernet cable and make sure the TP-link is plugged into a wall socket. It will not work when plugged into an extension lead.

2.Bring the TP-links together in the same room and plug them in and see if they connect to each other. If the Tp-links to do not pair automictically when brought into the same room follow step 3 below to reconnect them and then move the Tp-links back to their original position.

3. Press and hold the pair button for 1 second (the top light will flash for pair mode) and then press the pair button on the other TP-link to pair the TP-links together.

4. If none of the above steps work then you can reset the TP-links. Some TP-links have a small pinhole reset button that must be pressed to reset them and other TP-links reset by holding the pair button for 10 seconds. Double check exactly what model TP-link is installed at your home to see how to reset them. After resetting the TP-links try to pair them together using step 2 above.

You will know the TP-Links have successfully reconnected to each other when the three green LEDs are showing on the TP-link.

Note: If you have another TP-link powerline adapter that is not the same model as the ones already installed this will cause interference and will stop all the TP-links setup in your home from working correctly.
