How to remove a phone that is malfunctioning

If you get a new phone and leave the Geo-Service turned on, your old phone will start reporting as malfunction on your system. This won't effect the functionality of your alarm but it can be annoying to constantly see the malfunction on your app and system. The steps below will help you delete the malfunctioning device. 


This process can be done on the alarm.com app or on the customer website.


1. Open the Alarm.com app


2. Open the navigation menu ( 3 lines in the top left )


3. Select mange devices


4. Select the 3 dots to the right pf the mobile device you want to delete


5. Select remove device 


The device will now be deleted form your system and the malfunction will clear

Or 

You can also Delete the device through the Customer Website


If the customer does not want a malfunction report, they can turn off the report using the Customer Website.


Note: This only applies to Android devices.


1. Log into the Customer Website.


2. Click Settings.


3. Click Geo-Services.


4. Click the name of the Geo-Device to be edited.


5. Click the bin icon to delete the device or Click to uncheck Report Malfunction if Device fails to check in for 24 hours 

 

6. Click Save.
